Cylindrical Battery Failure Analysis Diamond Saw with Dual 4" Cutting Blades


SYJ-150-BC is a dual diamond  low-speed saw designed for cutting two ends of cylindrical cell and take out core for failure analysis, which equips with the advanced digital micrometer and digital speed display controller, it is the perfect tool for cutting/dicing/slicing cylindrical batteries up to 3 2O.D. without damage of cell.

Cutting width&Depth	The cutting width of the slice is controllable from 1mm ~ 24mm by adjusting the LCD digital micrometer. Application of diamond saw

1. This saw is Designed for cutting cylinder cells for failure analysis.
2. Must use anti-corrosion coolant during cutting to avoid rusting the lead screw. Please never use water as the coolant during cutting. You may select our LubeCool-150 lubricant as a coolant which will make diamond blade cut more efficiently and prevents corrosion. Also, you can use W10-30 motor oil as a coolant, which is available at any Auto store. 
3. Please clean the machine after the completion of each use, especially the lead screw using WD-40 lubricant (1 can include) after each use. Make sure the X, Y, and Z axes can move freely without blocking and rusting.
4. Using spacers to make gang saw, you may section multi-sample  in one time ( click pic left to learn how )

Warning of diamond saw

1. It is required to use proper cutting fluid with the saw to prevent corrosion of the machine components. We strongly recommend you use oil based coolant or lube cool lubricant with the water. Please Do not use tap water directly, the rust component is not part of the warranty.
2. Never cut any materials without the use of proper cutting fluid. If you do so, serious damages can be caused by the spooler driving mechanism.
3. For cutting the sticky materials such as non-ferrous alloy, epoxy, and plastic, you must sharpen diamond blade frequently. We suggest that cutting sample along with the included dressing stone (Glue sample and the dressing stone side by side and cut them together, this process will help keep the blade sharp enough for efficient cutting.
4. The saw can be used inside a glovebox with N2 gas, but no Ar gas, please.
